Laser Engraving Projects
This collection showcases some of my favorite laser engraving projects—each designed, prepared, and finished in-house at Vreman 3D Lab. These pieces highlight my focus on precision design, custom branding, and material experimentation across wood, acrylic, and anodized aluminum.
From custom logo plaques and topographic map engravings to personalized gifts and functional lab components, each project demonstrates careful control over laser parameters, alignment, and finish. I enjoy exploring how material tone, grain, and burn depth interact with design geometry to produce crisp, durable engravings that feel both technical and artistic.
Notable highlights include:
Custom business signage with vector-engraved logos and deep-etched lettering.
Topographic wood maps of California and Lake Tahoe featuring multi-layer relief engraving.
Personalized tool tags and nameplates for 3D printers and lab equipment.
Anodized aluminum keychains and gauge tags with high-contrast permanent markings.
Engraved acrylic panels with backlighting effects for prototype displays.
Each design is modeled or prepared in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or LightBurn, then optimized for the xTool platform to ensure balanced detail and minimal material waste. Together, these projects reflect the intersection of engineering precision and creative design that defines my work across fabrication disciplines.
